Hurricane Helene

Response & Recovery

Hurricane Helene left a deep mark on the Upstate and Western North Carolina that we will confront for months. Thank you to every person in our church who has served someone else since the storms hit. We want you to know the current needs and how you can help get involved. We will work to post updates that we find with local and regional organizations to empower you to take action.

When times of crisis come, followers of Jesus step into the chaos to serve. Thanks for being willing to sacrifice and make a difference in big and small ways.

Volunteer

Samaritan’s Purse

Samaritan’s Purse U.S. Disaster Relief staff members are on the ground in all five locations. We are partnering with local churches to field teams who are helping hurting homeowners in Jesus’ Name. Volunteers are assisting to mud out homes, cut downed trees, tarp roofs, and remove debris to help families get through this historic crisis.

Day and overnight volunteers started Sept. 30 in all locations. You can find more details about all our responses and how you can volunteer at spvolunteer.org. Please prayerfully consider serving as many volunteers will be needed to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to help the hurting.

Other local organizations will continue to offer opportunities to volunteer and serve. Follow your local non-profits to see what’s coming up next.
